Thanks for the super entry of a most favourite breed. It was a pleasure to have so many happy, talkative little characters on the table. It’s hard to decide which direction the breed is taking on several particular points. Such a worrying number with ears set rather too high, quite a few totally upright shoulders, more than enough with either straight hindquarters or hocks that slope forward at the joint, and still quite a few with toplines rising from withers to tail set. Despite the foregoing minus points, there were sufficient to find line ups that pleased. The challenges for both CCs were really quite interesting.

SPD (11) 1 Howard’s Tameron Mr CK Wun. Very sound and promising. Good head and eye, excellent dentition, good shoulder placement. Body coming on well with nice loin and good tail set. Strong rear gave good action with well carried tail. Best Puppy In Breed. 2 Williams’ Crowvalley Tears Of A Clown. Nice head with good eye. Clean front, firm body, well held topline. Tail set and carried well. Pleasing action. 3 Franks’ Hashanah Lock Stock N Barrel. Ears set a little higher. Good eye and pigmentation, nice body and well set tail. Moved easily.

SJD (20) This was rather an assorted class, poor toplines and pinched nostrils in quite a few. 1 Grugan’s Grandavon Huckleberry Fynn To Jardhu. Good head proportions. Nice eye and dentition, good ear placement. Pleasing body and topline, well set tail. Good rear, gave good action with firm loin. 2 Hyam’s Sandolin Star Sighn. Nice head, good quarters, body and well set tail. Sound rear. Moved soundly and well, more so than in previous class! 3 Williams’ Sampa Pemba Loo-Ming at Tickletums. Good head and expression, nice dark eye, good quarters and body. Pleasing coat texture. Moved soundly and well.

SYD (17) 1 Wright’s Pomelo Coanacoochee. Nice type, good head, eye and pigmentation. Pleasing neck and forehand. Good body and topline. Well formed strong rear. Tail set and carried well. Pleasing coat texture. Moved soundly and well. 2 Diffey’s Daltricia Pygmalion At Marhilway. Maybe not in the longest of coats, but couldn’t be denied on her pleasing type and good expression. Good head, neck and quarters. Well formed body with firm topline. Gave smart, sound action with good tail carriage. 3 Crossley’s Santosha Last Dancer. A fraction lower than 1 and 2 but of pleasing type. Good head and eye. Well pigmented. Good quarters. Nice jacket, pleasing mover.

PGD (20) 1 P.Coanacoochee. Won previous class but held his own here against some very nice exhibits. 2 Clifford’s Harropine Achy Breaky Heart At Cedarhythe. Lovely masculine head, good eye and expression. Well placed shoulder, good body development, firm loin, well placed and carried tail, excellent jacket. Moved well with firm topline. 3 Bushell’s Caserose Mr Choc Chip. Pleasing eye, pigment and dentition. Well made body with good forequarters. In profuse coat. Gave good action.

MLD (15) 1 Stevens’ Peekin Bartimeus-Tu. Of good make and shape overall. Good head and eye, nice shoulder, good body and rear. In pleasing coat, Moved well. 2 Noblett’s Pride In The Name of Love From Senoble. Pushed 1 hard. Has lovely dark eye, good pigmentation, well placed forehand. Firm body, sound rear, nice mover with good topline and tail carriage. 3 Taylor’s Shirshaun Texas Ranger. Sadly left the ring before notes taken.

LD (18) 1 Gibbon’s Incola Simply Dashing of Treeoo. Loved the truly masculine expression of this grey/w. Good eye and pigment. Nice forehand and well ribbed body. Good rear. Excellent quality coat. Moved well with firm topline and good tail carriage. 2 Crossley’s Santosha D’Ya Feel Lucky. Pleasing head and expression. Good forehand, body, tail set and topline. Very sound rear. In lovely jacket, nice action.

OD (17) Lovely class where all the top four could easily change places on another day. 1 Howard’s Ch Tameron Mr XS. Sound, honest and very well balanced muzzle, good jaw, strong neck into well placed shoulder. Mature body with strong loin. In good muscular order at rear. Pleasing jacket. Moved so well, pleased to award him CC and BOB and, witness Mr Thorn keep him in the Group finalists. 2 Crossley’s Ch Santosha Stromboli. Close up to 1. Good head, neck and forehand construction, well formed body with firm topline. Strong rear. Excellent coat, good action. 3 Williams’ Ch Paliden Rising Star. Love his expression. Good eye and pigment, well placed shoulder. Good body and topline, sound rear, good tail set and carriage. Quality jacket. Very nice action.

SVetD (7) 1 Clifford and Edwards’ Ch Cedarhythe Hot Off The Press. ResCC. Looking super, lovely head, eye and expression. Good forehand, firm body, firm body, good tail set, super sound rear. In excellent jacket. Gave super action with strong topline. 2 Grugan’s Ch/Ir Ch Jardhu The Republican. Very close up but a fraction longer in loin. Nice expression, good forehand, sound rear. In good coat. Moved soundly and well with good tail carriage. 3 Meyer’s Janjon Major Mookie. Strong, sound and balanced. Good neck and front, firm body condition, strong rear. Moved well.

SPB (21) 1 Williams’ Paliden Calypso. Sweet babe with great potential. Cheeky little character, when it came to showing her action! Well placed forehand, good body, excellent rear. Moved very well. When it came to the challenge for Best Puppy she was a little looser at front, but so strong at rear. Will watch her progress with interest. 2 Willett’s Deveaux Tallanasee. Very striking, good head and expression, nice eye and pigmentation, good quarters, firm body, nice loin, good rear, excellent action. 3 Lintern’s Mingshu High Calibre. Sweet head and expression, excellent eye and pigmentation. Good front and rear construction, nice topline, good mover.

SJB (23) 1 Lord’s Vanitonia Bundle Of Laughs At Huxlor. Stood out for type and balance, lovely head, excellent eye and pigment, good forehand, body and topline. Tail set and carried well. Very sound rear. Excellent quality coat, super action. Just needs to mature on, for a very promising future. 2 Percival’s Kareth Katalina At Permac. Nice eye and pigment, good neck and forehand, sound quarters. Nice rear action. Moved easily with firm topline and well carried tail. 3 Martin’s Grandavon Mona Lisa. Sweet head and expression, good forehand, super body development. Nice rear, good jacket, moved soundly and well.

SYB (8) 1 Merrett’s Venustus Bette Davis Eyes. Such a typy youngster of balance and ultra sound. Good head proportions, lovely dark eye and excellent pigmentation. Strong neck, well placed shoulder, nice body and topline, very sound rear. Pleasing jacket. Moved so well. When it came to the challenge, her overall type and soundness gave her the CC. 2 Franks’ Hashanah Red Or Ded. Good dark eye, nice pigment, pleasing neck and front, firm body with well held topline. Strong rear. Nice jacket. Easy action. 3 Lawrence’s Huxlor Political Affair. Nice head and expression, good neck, well formed body. Moved a little wide at front. Good rear, easy action.

PGB (26) 1 Edmonds’ Cedarhythe Prim N Proper. Of nice type and balance, good head and expression, nice neck and forehand, good body and topline. Sound rear. Moved well with strong topline and gd tail carriage. 2 Pickburn and Duke’s Harropine Mothers Pride of Janmayen JW. Close up to 1, nice head and expression, good quarters, well made body, firm loin, good rear, good action. 3 Hutchinson’s Midgeville Out Of The Flame. Nice head, neck and forehand. Good body with excellent topline. Sound rear, moved well.

MLB (16) 1 Lord’s Huxlor Triggered Fantasy. Nice for type and balance, good head, eye and pigment, nice neck and shoulder, good body and topline. Well constructed rear. In pleasing jacket. Gave good action. 2 Maule’s Daltricia Persephone JW. Pleasing overall and pushed 1 hard. Nice dark eye, gd neck, well made body with firm topline. Good tail, well presented jacket, easy mover. 3 Goodwin’s Chelama Indian Summer. Left ring before notes were taken.

LB (20) 1 Quick’s Harropine Too Funky At Minfaa. Very feminine but not weak, nice head with good dark eye and very well pigmented, well placed shoulder, good body and topline, pleasing hindquarters, nicely coated. Very sound action. 2 Brown’s Rossvale Make A Wish. Pleased on head and expression, good eye, nice forehand, well made body with firm topline. Good jacket, moved well with good tail carriage. 3 Warner’s Hashanah Try To Imagine. Nice dark eye and pigment, good head proportions, nice forehand, fraction longer in body. Good rear, moved very well with well held topline.

OB (14) 1 Woodbridge’s Bowchild Siew Fu. So well presented and looked good from all angles. Nice head, eye and pigment. Excellent dentition. Good neck and shoulder, well made body with firm loin. Good rear. Nice coat. Good action. ResCC. 2 Franks’ Ch Hashanah Flashpoint. Well presented and handled, good head proportions, dark eye, well pigmented. Nice body and topline. Excellent coat condition. Moved smartly and well. 3 Dadds’ Ch Its Me I’m Gemma of Snaefell. Gave her an early CC, I how well she’s lasting. Balanced and sound. Such a lovely eye catching jacket colour.

SVetB (8) 1 Pickburn and Duke’s Harropine Dixie Land Of Janmaen. In pleasing condition overall with good front and hindquarters. Firm body and topline, nice coat. Moved well with gd tail carriage. 2 Newton’s Pandora Bright Star Rising. Almost 11 years, and in good body and coat. Excellent ribbing, nice quarters, moved well with well carried tail. 3 Painter’s Berylendans Calamity Jane. Nicley presented. Good head but tended to show white of eye, nice body for rib, good coat, nice easy action.
