I would like to thank LKA for the invitation to Judge and the exhibitors for a good entry, at least the weather was kinder to them than it was the last time I judge here (do we remember the snow?) Having not judged the breed for some time due to illness I was surprised at the variation in size and type of the exhibits. There was such a range in size in some classes you thought you were judging Any Variety Shih Tzu. The standard is quite clear on the requirements and if followed rather than taking the fashionable route exhibits overall will improve. We should breed to the standard not try and adapt it to our breeding. There were plenty of quality exhibits who no doubt will have their day. Presentation and sportsmanship was excellent.
