Thank you for the lovely entry, which was much appreciated .1 wish I could say all, was well with our breed but unfortunately that would not reflect what I found. I have not judged males since 1996 and I was surprised at what I found. Mouths have improved but eyes remain a problem didn’t find much white of eye but too many have small eyes. Also light eyes seem to be on the increase both in the dog classes and the younger bitches. Toplines are a problem also, along with poor shoulder placement mainly confined to the dog classes. There was no evenness in type in the males. The b classes were much more even in type and quality, full of plenty of sound typical Shih~Tzus. I had no problems with temperaments, v happy, outgoing Shih Tzus with only the occasional one who was finding the heat a little trying.

MPD (12,4).
1 Scannell’s Jacquinta If By Chance. Smart black and white p who headed a v mixed class. Good head with dark eyes and good mouth. He is well balanced with good body for age. Coat well presented, little unsettled on the move but only a baby;
2 Ace’s Bar of Gold with Matsonic Slightly older p. Lovely head and expression with dark eyes. Well bodied for age and in good coat. Did not move as well as winner;
3 Percivals Permac No White Collar.

PD (5,1).
1 Symonds Symaraju Lord of the Dance. Brindle and white who is a well-balanced p. Excellent head and expression with pleasing nose placement. Good shape, topline held on the move and moves out well for age BPD but preferred b p in the challenge as she was steadier on the move;
2 Devine and Malone Mirazian Artists Impression. Although older than first is not as mature. Has pleasing head, well placed shoulders and moves out well. Needs more time;
3 Willett’s Debeaux Washington.

JD (8,1).
1 Barker and N aulls Wynele Realisation. V promising young dog. Gold and white, with good head. Has dark eyes with typical expression. Well placed nose and wide jaw. Good shoulders and topline. Keeps his shape on the move and moves out with drive. Good coat which was well presented. In the challenge I felt his overall quality overrode his lack of maturity and awarded him the RCC Should have a bright future;
2 Moston’s Hiona Fly Me To The Moon. Another nice youngster has pleasing head and expression. Reminded me in a lot of ways of the Snaefells which when I looked at the catalogue afterwards was understandable. Beautiful mover ,carries no excess weight and is well muscled. Shown in good coat;
3 Mead’s Harropine Maybe This Time For Chaucer.

GD (6).
1 Devine and Grace Mirazlan Symbol of Freedom. Gold and white who has good shoulders and front assembly. Liked his head and expression, good pigment. Has a level topline which he kept on the move. Good tailset Moved well in this class but seemed to feel the heat in the challenge;
2 Cook’s Thaisu Strictly Sinatra. Gold and white who is well balanced and bodied. Good head .Has good tail set and moves well;
3 Grugans Grandavon Extra Special With Jardhu.

PGD (8).
1 Willett’s Debeaux Ruff Love. Pale solid gold who has a beautiful head and soft expression. Super dark eyes and pigment to match. He is well bodied ,& has well made quarters. Moved well and with drive;
2 Wilshers Balise Mr Darcy Smaller gold and white who was well presented. He has a good head and expression and is well bodied for size. Does not do himself justice on the move as can move correctly when he wants;
3 McIntyre Bakalo Shayna Punim at Sbanitau.

LD (13,6). Best dog class of the day but a difficult class to judge as there were a number of dogs in it which I liked.
1 Clifford’s Harropine Achy Breaky Heart at Cedarhythe. Grey and white with a correct head. Good eyes and jaw placement. V solid in front assembly with good lay back of shoulder. Uses his neck which is not stuffy, level topline which is held on the move. Well bodied without excess weight. Good angulation and has well muscled hindquarters. Has a strong typical coat which was well presented and profuse. In the challenge his construction won the day, he is a v sound dog and covered the ground with ease. CC and hopefully his third will follow soon;
 2 Forbes Harropine Trail Blazer to Ekland. Has matured a lot since I last saw him. Beautiful presentation,in full coat. Moves out really well, the same correct shoulder placement as the winner. Good rear action. Well bodied and balanced Liked his style. V good handling to make the most of the dog;
3 Bushell’s Caserose Mr Toby Jug.

OD (5).
1 Grugans Jardhu Tobi Tobias. Gold and white who was presented in full coat. Well balanced, with good body. Moved well in the class. Has a pleasing head and expression with good tail set and top line. In the challenge I felt that the CC &. RCC winners just gave that bit more on the move;
2 Goodwins Chelhama Aquarius. Gold and White with pleasing head and expression. Is well bodied and put down well. Not as happy on the move, feeling the heat perhaps;
3 Flack and Hannah’s Tangse Don’t Worry Be Happy with Mifcah.

MPB (19,5). Super class to start the bitches with.
1 Gilkes' Zeeva Fire and Ice. V mature p who was in good coat which was well presented. She has a super head and expression with good mouth. Well placed shoulders and level top line. Holds herself well on the move for one so young and never flagged in the heat. Just hope she does not grow on but well deserved. BP on the day;
2 Johnson’s Paladin Make A Wish at Keytor. Slightly younger p who is also v promising. She is less mature, smaller type with good balance and body for age. Pleasing head and expression. Has good front assembly and liked her movement when she settled;
3 Martin’s Grandavon Orange Orchid.

1 Zeeva Fire and Ice;
2 Robert’s Zuthis Perfect Moments. V typical of the type produced by this kennel over the yrs, pretty gold and white b. Ultra feminine b ,quite immature compared to the winner .Has pleasing head and expression with sound movement and is well balanced with good body for age;
3 Grandavon Orange Orchid.

JB (21,4). Super class with some v promising bitches.
1 Bushel’s Superlion Redoute Rose at Caserose. Headed this class after quite a tussle with the second and third. She is a v feminine b who is well balanced and carries just the correct amount of weight. Has a good head with beautiful soft expression ,black eyes ,gd mouth. Sound movement ,plenty of drive. Well presented in good coat;
2 Hitt’s Cedarhythe Classic Design. Striking black and white who was in excellent coat and well presented. Good head and expression, Has well placed shoulders, and is sound throughout Good tail set and covers the ground well. V mature for age;
3 Cook’s Thaisu Cosmic Girl.

GB (14,3).
1 Brown’s Rossvale Destiny’s Child. Gold and white who has v pleasing head and expression. Well put together b who covered the ground well. Good tailset well bodied and is balanced. Beautiful presentation as always from this exhibitor;
2 Leon’s Superlion Identity Crisis. Another nice b, good head and expression. Soundly put together and is well boned. Not as settled in movement as winner due to owners ill health but shown in well presented coat;
3 Jones’s Shanjo Heart Breaker for Shanjo.

PGB (8,3).
1 Farnworth’s Tsantha Lucky in Love. Black and White who needs to be handled to appreciate how nice she is. Her markings on her face are not flashy and need to be studied to realise what a pretty head she actually has. The darkest of eyes with matching pigment, good jaw, Liked her neck carriage .Has a level topline with nice tailset. Moves out well and is well coated and presented;
2 William’s Paliden Calypso. Black b who is coming back into coat. Pleasing head and expression well balanced and moves well due to her construction. Another one who needs to be studied close up with her colouring;
3 Brook’s Sarosim Triggers Pride.

LB (11,1).
1 Forbes’ Debeaux Last Laugh to Ekland. Pale gold and white b who was v well presented She has a v feminine expression, with dark eyes and a good mouth. Correct nose placement. Well bodied and muscled up, and has a good topline. Nicely finished off with good ,free movement and never flagged in the heat. I felt the CC winner was just that bit more mature but close up.Res CC and should make up v soon;
2 Salt’s Harropine American Beauty of Metadale. Black and White b who I feel has come on a lot recently. Shown in full, well-presented coat, is balanced and well bodied. Pleasing head and expression reminded me of her dam whom I have awarded a CC to. Moves with drive but was feeling the heat a little on the final move;
3 Johnson’s Paliden Walk that Walk at Keytor.

OB (6,1).
1 Russell and Evan’s YM Toosexy From Audreys Paradis (imp). Black and white who dominated this good class from the start. She is a v striking b with a lovely and typical outline. Good head and expressive black eyes, good pigment. Well placed shoulders and neck. Front is good and this is reflected in her movement. Covers the ground with ease, well-muscled up and good tail carriage. Shown in full coat, which was beautifully presented .In, the challenge I could not get past her drive and outline. CC and in the BOB challenge she scored over the d in maturity;
2 Anderton’s Ch Pekoe Pick Me Up JW. Worthy champion who looked v well. Has a lovely outline and pleasing head and expression. Nice body on her and she moves well although I think she was beginning to feel the heat a little at the end of the day. In good coat which was well presented;
3 Bequet’s Ch Santosha Rainbow High.
