IT WAS my pleasure to once again be invited to judge at Darlington. On this occasion, the Utility group, which I consider to be the best I have judged for a long time. I found it difficult to select four winners from the following I shortlisted, but, it had to be done.


4 Albert and Brown’s Shih Tzu Ch Minfaa Captain Scarlet at Zafonic. A most attractive dog, beautifully presented with an appealing expression, in full coat with free outgoing movement. A dog with great deportment and confidence. He looked very much the part on the day.

1. Symonds' Symaraju Lord of the Dance, attractive g/w, well coated, body balanced. low slung. skull round, pleasing face & expression, moved firm head & head tail carriage;
2 Percival's Permac No White Collar, black, put together well. short face & expressive eyes, well coated, elbows could be tighter.

1 Morris' Baranova Deadly Affair at Sazkey, well constructed, nicely proportioned, carries head & tail well, head well finished, good dentition & chin, moved with purpose & back kick.
2 Farnworth's Tsantha Moulin Rouge, head gives good expression, dark eyes well spaced, good nose placement, body well filled & coated, loses a little on front movement;
