This is the first time that I have judged the breed when I could say that the Dogs were of a higher standard than the bitches, size balance and movement seem to have been sacrificed for coat which in some trailed on the floor by two or three inches this only hampers movement and does not enhance the outline of the dog, it seems that we have forgotten that the standard asks for a short legged dog 101/2 inches at the shoulder, even some of the puppies must have been above the height the standard calls for. Judging for type is not possible as there are so many variations in size and shape. The size and condition of the ring did not help movement so I had to allow for this. The puppy classes were a pleasure to judge with a number of very promising puppies it was in the puppy classes where the improvement in mouths was most noticeable,

Class 1469 MPD (12 Entries) Abs: 1  class view Competition in the puppy classes was very high.
1st: GOODWIN Chelhama Top Of The Bill  B/W Lovely shape and balance nice round head with dark eyes, tilted nose good broad jaw, level top line and high tail set completed the picture. Best Puppy.
2nd: HOWARD Tameron Mr Armarni G/W nice size and shape, nice firm body sturdy with good bone, masculine expression dark eye and good dentition, level top line and nice tail set.

1st:  HODGSON Superlion Haute Couture. Difficult class to judge as the bitches were so different in type, nice head and expression sound in body, very nice had and expression, moved soundly.
