The Shih Tzu Club Summer Open Show 2004

The day was extremely hot which was hard on the dogs, but in true Shih Tzu style they gave of their best under the circumstances.
 
MPD (4).
1 Beer & Tilley’s Debeaux Washington’s Pride. 8 months G/W boy. Large, broad skull good width to jaw, Good nose placement with dark pigmentation, Nice open expression. Masculine without coarseness. Deep bodied with good overall balance which he kept on the move. Nicely put down with good coat coming;
2 Marks Hashanah Fun ‘N’ Games at Tansingh. 6 1/2 months Gold/White boy. A real baby at present. Good head size & width of jaw, good nose placement & large dark eye. Level top-line & well balanced. Moved best in class once settled. Coat coming in well. Should be interesting as he develops;
3 Scannell Jaquinta One Step Beyond.

1 BPIS Vinn’s Shiawase King for A Day. Gold & white boy. Good skull size, nose placement & large dark eye. Masculine expression without coarseness. Good overall balance & tail-set. Level top-line held on the move. Profuse coat. Well muscled. Moved out strongly & showed well at all times, the extra Pizazz winning him BPIS;
2 Goodwin’s Chelhama Home & Dry. 9 months G/W Good nose placement & expression. Dark well shaped eye & good pigmentation. Not feeling like showing today, but still very young.

JD (5).
1 Chadwick’s Santosha Casanova to Hajenza. Solid gold boy with black mask. Good skull size & typical Shih Tzu expression. Good dark pigment with large, dark, round eye. Good mouth & width of jaw. Level top-line & good tail-set. Deep bodied, sturdy dog. Muscled up. Moved well; 2 Sandford’s Harropine Adagio. At almost a year this well coated & put down gold & white boy has a sweet expression & looks very stylish. Not the skull size or as masculine as the first but still a nice exhibit.

1 J One Step Beyond. 7 mth old g/w. Excited to be out & about just couldn’t concentrate on showing. With good mouth, eye shape & sweet expression his enthusiasm charms you. Hope he grows on a little.

1 Devine & Grace Mirazian Symbol of Freedom JW. Pale gold & White lad with good, large round head & sweet warm yet masculine expression. Round, dark, full eye with good width between. Good width of jaw, dentition & chin. Nicely balanced with good depth. Moved out well with good drive. Presented & shown well;
2 Stobbs Sonomas Show Must Go On This impressive & glamorous show boy pressed hard for first place, but here just preferred the larger head size of 1st. Gd expression, dark mask setting of his pale coat colour perfect with full, warm eye. Level top line & good tail carriage. Moved with zest & beautifully presented, a quality chap;
3 Symonds Symaraju Lord of the Dance.

1 BD & BOS Marks Tansingh Tenacity. Black & White ìall Shih Tzu maleî look. Large broad head, dark eye, good nose placement. Good width of jaw & dentition. Level top line & good overall balance. Deep bodied & well muscled rear end. Strong coat texture & nicely put down. Moved well in the heat;
2 Bell & Turrell’s Ragabbey Autumnal Gold Bellwaycharm. Gold boy. Sweet yet masculine expression with good dark pigment & good width of jaw. Good overall balance. A little between coats. Moved well;
3 Scannell’s Jaquinta If By Chance.

OD (3).
1 Ritchie Laurmerand By Design. A strongly coloured black & white with excellent overall balance & tail carriage kept on the move. Large round dark eye & nice nose placement in good skull, giving masculine expression. Well muscled up & moved well. Nicely exhibited;
2 Goodwin’s Chelhama Aquarius. Gold/ White. Well balanced masculine dog. Good head size, width of jaw & dentition. Level top-line, good tail-set, depth of body & well muscled rear. Moved out well & nicely put down.

VD (1).
1 Chadwick’s Hajenza Incantation. 8 years old. Attractive lad. large, dark, round eye giving soft masculine expression. Good nose leather with dark pigmentation. Good depth of body & overall balance. Didn’t like lack of company in the ring so movement restricted. Left before BV judged.

MPB (8).
1 BMPIS Billson’s Debeaux Devotion at Shanjora. 8 month gold & white babe. Very feminine with good mouth & pretty expression. Good size of skull. Well bodied with good back end. Moved out well;
2 Scannell’s Jaquinta Fever Diva. 7 months gold & white girl, litter sister to winner of beginners dog. Sweet expression with good dark eyes & mouth. Good overall balance & carried tail well. Moved out for her owner;
3 Spooner’s Chanikos Faith on the Dark Side.

PB (6).
1 Goodwin’s Chelhama Midnight Lace. Nearly 9 months Black & white little person. Excellent skull size, dark pigmentation, large expressive eyes, good mouth, delicious tip tilted nose, overall a sweet, feminine look. Deep & sturdy body. Good overall balance. Did not have the zest of BPIS in the challenge but the weather was HOT;
2 Ace’s Matsonic Looking for Love. 10 1/2 months gold & white with nice feminine expression. Good eyes & nose placement. Good overall balance with glamorous coat & well put down. Moved ok. Needs to mature a little yet;
3 Honour’s Sancoo Champaine on Ice.

JB (5). 1 Lintern’s Hashanah The Thought of You With Mingshu. Black & white bitch with sweet & feminine expression. Excellent dark pigment with good large round eye. Super overall balance. Well coated. Moved out well & with style. A little more maturity will make all the difference;
2 Vinn’s Shiawase COS I’m Worth It. Gold & White with lovely open soft expression in a good skull. Nice eye & nose placement. Deep bodied, well muscled. Good overall balance. Moved out well. Wouldn’t want her any bigger;
3 Bell & Turrell’s Miss Behaving at Bellwaycharm.

2 Honour’s Sancoo Champaine on Ice. 10 months gold & white. New to showing & a bit shy, moved reluctantly on the day. Good coat & well presented. Needs to body up a bit.

1 RBB & RBIS Marks Tansingh Halo & Horns. Pale gold & white bitch with lovely open feminine expression. Good nose placement, nicely tip-tilted & large dark round eye. Dark pigmentation. Good dentition & width of jaw with strong underbite. Good chin. Well bodied & nice overall balance. Pretty coat, nicely groomed & shown. Moved well in the heat;
2 Shiawase Cos I’m Worth It;
3 Debeaux Devotion at Shanjora.

GB (3).
1 Brooks Grandavon Tiger Lily at Marbrux. Well bodied gold & white bitch. Good head size & feminine expression. Dark pigment & good eye. Coat coming on well. Moved out. Would like a little higher tail carriage;
 2 Beer’s Lou-tou Ling Gold & white bitch. Large skull with nice large dark eye. Good nose placement & width of jaw. Feminine expression. Beautiful coat, very well presented. A little on the big side for a b, her Mum did say she liked her food.

PGB (1). 1 Marks Tansingh Drop Dead Gorgeous Although alone deserved her place. Gold & White with lovely head size. Large dark round eye, good pigmentation, good mouth & overall lovely feminine expression. Deep body with good tail set nicely carried on the move. Well coated & moved out well. Nice size for a bitch.

OB (3).
1 BB & BIS Spooner’s Chanikos Justa Dream. Beautiful bitch all Shih Tzu. Lovely size, shape & make. Good skull size, dark eye, nice tip-tilted nose placement, superb mouth & dentition all giving a beautiful feminine expression. Excellently balanced with good tail carriage which she kept on the move. Nice coat & very well presented. Moved with style & drive. All added up to a nice overall picture. Have liked her from puppy-hood & was so delighted to award her the top prize of the day. Will get her crown soon I am sure.

VB (2).
1 BV Meyer’s Janjon Bee. A pale gold & white lady of 10 years plus with the ability to move as well as the youngsters. Excellently coated & presented. Good overall balance & lovely dark pigment, wide set, dark eyes in a broad skull. Very feminine girl. Hope she inspired others to show their veterans. Well done.
