I felt that the quality of the overall entry, despite being depleted by absentees due in part to the very hot weather, was very good. Bitches remain stronger in the main but there are some nice young dogs coming through. Movement needs to be watched, perhaps it is being curtailed to preserve coats.

1st KRISQUEST TOP GUN (MESSRS LOCKWOOD & MURRELL) Very striking and mature red and white puppy. Expression appeals with well placed nose and good mouth. Good pigment. Well placed shoulders with level topline which he kept on the move. Good tailset. Moved out well with drive. Beautifully coated and presented. Best Puppy.2nd STENROSS MAGIC DRAGON (MRS C ROSSER) Much more of a baby giving away nearly 3 months to the winner. Well put together puppy who needs time to mature. Has nice head and moved out well. Good balance.

1st HARROPINE BONO OF WISEOWLS (MISS L R & MRS T SHAW) Solid gold who has a lovely head and expression with dark eyes. Has a good mouth and width of jaw. He is well bodied up and is balanced. Liked his front assembly and moves out well. Gave the Minor Puppy a battle for BPD but Top Gun scored on his outline. Black and white. Upstanding puppy who is well turned out and presented. Well bodied for age and has a good topline. Winner was more settled on the move.2nd SOCORRO FEEL ME TOUCH ME AT MIRACEY (MR M & MRS T HITT) Black and white. 2nd ASHWENEL LIKELY STORY (MISS W E REWBURY) Solid dog who pushed the winner hard. I liked his head which is wide with well placed dark eyes. Very snooty expression. Has a good body and moves well but lacks the overall maturity of the winner.

as happy on the move. Good body and pleasing head and expression. Another one
who just needs time to mature.

2nd HARROPINE XAVIER AT MURRAYLAKE (MR R D & MRS M M MAHONY) Won his place on his soundness. Moves well when he is settled. Smaller than winner but is balanced. Would prefer a larger head but has a pleasing expression. Well placed shoulders. Good topline and is in good coat which is well presented.

Good shoulders but just preferred the balance of the winner.

Has a lovely head, good front and is well bodied. Still a young dog and I feel that he needs a bit more time to realise his full potential.2nd HARROPINE THE DEVONIAN AT MYLUROSE (MRS D STIRZAKER) Black and white dog who is sound. Well balanced with good body and bone. Good outline. Moved well but without his usual enthusiasm. Not too happy at having to be inside perhaps.

Topline not quite as good on the move as the winners but sound bitch overall.
